If you’re at all interested in the Starcraft, Diablo, or Warcraft franchises, you’re probably aware that this weekend is kind of a big deal. Blizzcon, Blizzard’s annual convention dealing with All Things that are Coming Soon(tm), is taking place from October 22nd-23rd (Friday and Saturday!), and myself and “The J.C.” will be present.

Alright, you got me. Fellow GZer Jon and myself have a Virtual Ticket which streams all con panels live. We’ll be keeping you guys up-to-date with any updates (which will probably be mostly WoW-related, since we have to pick and choose between cons scheduled simultaneously) on Twitter! Don’t expect anything from @gamezombie, though, since we’ll be tweeting a lot.
Instead, follow me at @anniezard and Jon at @koitenbatsu during the convention as we freak out over all the eye candy. Keep in mind this is casting from Anaheim, which means there will be a three-hour time delay. We’ll be tweeting about stuff that happens on the schedule at 1:00 PST when it’s 4:00 EST here. Keep watching the blog for our retrospective on the con after everything’s said and done, and do allow us to freak out over Tenacious D juuuust a little.

Another Blizzcon has come and gone, and even though there weren’t any major announcements, like last year’s World of Warcraft: Cataclysm unveiling, there was still plenty of news and information to go around. Unfortunately, our coverage only covered the Warcraft and Diablo panel, meaning we were unable to pass along any new information on the Starcraft franchise, but we hope that you’ll find our offering more than satisfactory.
