While Hollywood has been busy fawning over Thor, Zen Studios has been busy admiring a different Marvel license. Continuing to make good on their promise of DLC tables, Zen Studios’ Fantastic Four table launches onto Xbox Live Marketplace this week. However, more content isn’t always better; has Zen Studios crafted a new reason to dive back into the fight for Superscores, or is the reliance upon Marvel characters beginning to wear thin?
DLC: Fantastic Four Table (for use with Pinball FX 2 platform)
Platform: 360, PS3
MSRP: 240 Microsoft Points ($2.50)
Release Date: May 18th for 360, TBA for PS3
It truly pained me to toy with your emotions with such a gripping cliffhanger, but rest assured; Fantastic Four is a, wait for it…fantastic addition to Pinball FX 2’s existing selection.
I, um…I’m sorry. (more…)

I know that I’m a bit late in posting this, but here were the highlights from the Sony event yesterday.
Sony’s press conference was outstanding and mind blowing and gave a lot to be excited about, and it involves a lot of 3D and Playstation move integration. This comes as no surprise since move debuts September 19 in the US. The big surprise came with the fact that move will see some compatability with older titles, my favorite of which was Heavy Rain. You don’t need to worry about buying a new version of the game either. Sony is taking care of that via software update on the Playstation network.
The PSN will be seeing a new subscription service, but there are no worries because normal PSN accounts will still have all of their features. The only main difference is the premium content that will be available sooner such as certain demos, discounts, digital content, and automatic updates among a few others. That will debut later this month so be on the lookout. It’s $50 for a full year subscription and $18 for 3 months.

Rockstar Games has announced the first DLC that will be available for Red Dead Redemption just a month after the title’s release. The Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack drops on June 22nd to both Xbox 360 and PS3 owners for the low price of Free.99. Check out the press release for details and screens:
The Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack will feature six all-new cooperative multiplayer missions to play with 2-4 players. This will be a completely free download that we will have ready for you to download and play at some time in June.
These six explosive and epic missions will play out across the game world, including:
“Walton’s Goldâ€
Walton’s Gang have taken control of a mining camp rich with gold. Fight through the camp and load your mine cart with as much gold as you can carry and get out as fast as you can – Walton’s boys have rigged the place to blow!
“The Riverâ€
Ride a raft down river, taking out rebel encampments along the way until you reach the rebel stronghold of Nosalida and a final epic battle for the town’s massive weapons caches. Watch out for Gatling gun-equipped enemy rafts.
“Ammunitionâ€
The Mexican Army has the town of Tesoro Azul under siege. Storm the gates under heavy cannon, Gatling gun and sniper fire to destroy the Mexican artillery placements.
Plus three more missions to be revealed in detail soon.
The Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack will also yield additional multiplayer XP rewards, and brand new Achievements/Trophies to unlock.
Screens:

Taking back the town of Tesoro Azul in "Ammunition".

Engaging the Walton Gang from an advantageous elevated position in "Walton's Gold".

Heading downstream towards the rebel stronghold of Nosalida in "The River".
By the looks of it, Rockstar is putting just as much effort into developing the multiplayer element of Red Dead as they have in the single-player.

DLC (short for downloadable content) serves as an extension to the contentof the game found on the original purchased copy. The most common examples of DLC are multiplayer maps and additional chapters for a game’s campaign, though less significant options can still be offered through this method, such as character skins. This additional content can be purchased for a small fee or even given away by the developers in an effort to lengthen a game’s legs. If done correctly, DLC will keep gamers coming back for more, ensuring positive word of mouth and a stronger interest in a developer’s future projects. (more…)
