Quite often our beloved video games heroes are accompanied by faithful sidekicks. Link had the annoying, yet ever helpful Navi. Banjo would never have been able to save his little sister without Kazooie. Even Solid Snake depends on Otacon for advice. Sidekicks are everywhere; Tails and Sonic, Daxtar and Jak, and Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong. But what about the villains? Sure, the bad guys have countless minions to throw out at our heroes, but sometimes even villains need loyal back up. It’s time these devoted henchmen receive the recognition they deserve.
10. Harry Flynn from Uncharted 2
Besides having a devilishly brilliant British voice (Steve Valentine), Harry Flynn is a picture perfect henchman. And, sadly, like most henchmen, Harry doesn’t make it to the end of the game–although he did come close. Harry originally comes off as a smooth talking protagonist, much like Nathan Drake, but don’t be fooled. Harry Flynn would probably backstab his mother if he had to. Flynn quickly turns into–to put it nicely–a jerk and the model henchmen for any crazy Russian treasure hunter.
9. Team Rocket from Pokemon
The iconic team rocket is the bane of Pokemon trainers everywhere. In the big scheme of things though, Team Rockets aren’t the main villains. The evil doers put their poke-skills to work for bad guy Giovanni. Even if you don’t know much about Pokemon, you will probably recognize the most famous of Team Rockets: Jesse and James. However, Jesse and James aren’t the most competent henchmen in the world of bad guys no matter how hard they try. Not only do they make trouble for trainers, but they make it double! They don’t protect the world from devastation or unite the people in any nation. (more…)

10. “Rolling Starâ€â€”Katamari Forever
You may have never heard of this song if you’ve never played Katamari, but I highly recommend that you look it up because, despite the fact that it will probably get stuck in your head too, it will make you laugh. The lyrics are just ridiculous, and the tune itself is terribly catchy. I challenge you to look this one up on YouTube and take a listen.
9. “Green Hill Zoneâ€â€”Sonic the Hedgehog
This is the first of a few songs on this list that have been derived from older 8-bit or 16-bit games, and there is a reason for this: these songs have a very distinct sound because of their bleeps and bloops that make it very easy for the tunes to become ingrained in your head. This song is a classic for any Sonic fan, and the patterns within the music just make it so catchy that you’ll end up thinking about it hours after you’ve played a good, nostalgic round of Sonic. Since E3 is over I was left wondering what the best things I saw on the floor were. Everyone had impressive showings and I enjoyed them immensely, but some stood out way more than others. Here are my top 5 picks for the best of E3.
5.Child of Eden

This was a game that was both trippy and amazingly fun to watch. Manipulating shapes, sounds, and colors with merely a flick of the wrist was one of the most appealing things about the game. This game showed what could happen when a rail shooter comes in contact with the Kinect technology. It was a thrill ride for the senses that was engaging from start to finish. What else would you expect from the people that brought us Rez?

Sonic:Â Why not Knuckles?
Â
This is not my usual long rant about something like my previous posts have been. This is in fact a short rant that I will be going on this evening. I know its getting painfully repetitive but y’all are just gonna have to bear with me. I am a very ranty person. Ok, so let us begin.
Â
Â
Ok, Here is a quick question…Why is blue apparently so much better than red? Leonardo is the leader in TMNT but Raphael was always the coolest. He was always so brooding, troubled, and angry!  That’s what I want in the main man. I want a character who has multiple layers and is not always so predictably righteous.Â
