The Resistance
It has been several years now since the first wave of inexplicable, highly contagious homicidal aggression struck our gentle planet like an apocalyptic storm. First there were the misreports, then the pharmaceutical companies with their wonder drug “cure alls.” Then came layer after layer of government bullshit. Until at last, the Great Panic broke and for humanity there would be no turning back. The truth was everywhere. It was in the streets, the knee-deep blood and gore, the never-ending, ever-heightening moan of undeath carrying on the air, as if the devil himself was crying for you. Yet somehow, we weathered the initial rash of perdition. Somehow, each of us found a small corner of the world the ghouls could not penetrate. Somehow, we survived the horror. And now, here and now, with the world on fire, and outnumbered 400,000 to 1, we will make our final stand. Because the Internet still works, by God, and the video game companies are still managing to crank out product. We owe it to the remaining members of humanity, staring into the abyss, to carry forth the torch of civilization against this cruelest of odds. We owe it to the memory of mankind’s triumphs over adversity and to the unwavering spirit of freedom–we owe it to Frank West–to continue to play video games and produce quality video game reviews in this, this darkest of hours.
